Run and Validate the First Forecast

Create the first planning snapshot, reconcile representative products, and validate controlled RFQ and transfer execution.

The first forecast creates the planning baseline. It should follow data readiness, access setup, company settings, exclusions, and at least one Planning Rule that represents the intended default policy.

Start and monitor

  1. Open Settings > Niyu Smart Stock > Run Initial Sync, or Inventory > Niyu AI > Forecast Operations > Run Sync Now.
  2. If a run is already active, open it instead of submitting a duplicate.
  3. Open Inventory > Niyu AI > Forecast Operations > Runs and wait for Done.
Full Odoo Forecast Runs list with status, source, horizon, completion, and line counts
A completed service call is not enough by itself. Confirm the results were applied and produced the expected Action Lines.

Review in this order

  1. Open Inventory Control Tower. Confirm the update time, active company, lines in view, and any longer-horizon warning.
  2. Open Planning Overview. Reconcile Last Sync, Warehouses Covered, Setup Blockers, purchase value, transfers, and execution progress.
  3. Open representative Action Lines. Check stock, reservations, dated incoming supply, selected Planning Rule, Ordering Profile, protection date, transfer plan, and executable constraints.
  4. Open Demand History. Reconcile the snapshot with confirmed Sales Orders, optional POS demand, replacement demand, and stockout evidence.
  5. Create only a small controlled set of draft RFQs and transfers, then compare them with standard Odoo documents.

How to interpret the quantity

Forecast 30d, 60d, 90d, and 120d are demand totals. System Suggested Purchase is a replenishment decision. It can protect lead time, the interval until the following review, safety days, and target coverage, then subtract eligible stock and dated supply, add transfer effects, and apply UoM, MOQ, Order Step, Case Pack, and supplier constraints.

Freshness rule

Orders, deliveries, receipts, stock corrections, and policy changes made after the run do not rewrite that snapshot. Run a new forecast when the current plan must reflect them.
