Refund & Return Policy

This policy explains when refunds are available for Niyu Labs software, which cases are non-refundable, and what obligations apply if a refund is issued.

1. The Nature of Our Software

At Niyu Labs, we build enterprise-grade data infrastructure and AI modules for Odoo. Upon purchase, our customers receive immediate digital access to the full, unobfuscated source code of our software.

Because digital goods cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense, and because the source code is instantly accessible, all sales are generally considered final. We do not offer refunds for "buyer’s remorse," changes of mind, or shifts in your project scope.

2. When Refunds Are Granted (The Niyu Guarantee)

We stand behind the engineering of our products. A full refund will be issued if all of the following conditions are met:

Critical Failure: The software completely fails to perform its primary, advertised function on a clean, standard installation of the corresponding Odoo version.
Reported Promptly: The issue is reported to our support team within 14 days of the original purchase date.
Opportunity to Resolve: You have provided our engineering team with a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. This includes providing detailed error logs and, if necessary, granting temporary access to a staging environment.
Unresolved: Our team acknowledges the critical failure and is unable to provide a fix or workaround within a reasonable timeframe (typically 5 business days).

3. Non-Refundable Scenarios

To protect our intellectual property, refunds will not be granted under the following circumstances:

Lack of Technical Expertise: You or your team lack the basic Odoo administration skills required to install or configure the module. If you are struggling with setup, we offer a dedicated Installation & Configuration Service to handle this for you.
Third-Party Conflicts: The module conflicts with heavily customized Odoo core code, or incompatible third-party modules installed on your database. Our modules are guaranteed to work on standard Odoo environments.
Wrong Version Purchased: You accidentally purchased the module for the wrong Odoo version, such as buying v16 instead of v17. In this scenario, we do not offer refunds, but we will gladly exchange your license for the correct version.
Infrastructure Limitations: Your server, hosting provider (excluding Odoo.sh or standard cloud environments), or internal firewall blocks the necessary outgoing connections, including API calls to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OpenAI.
We Changed Our Mind: Your company decided to move to a different ERP, abandoned the data project, or no longer requires the module.

4. How to Request a Refund or Support

If you are experiencing a technical blocker, we want to fix it. Before requesting a refund, please open a support ticket.

Provide Context: Include your Order or Invoice Number, your exact Odoo Version, such as Odoo 17.0 Enterprise, and a detailed description of the error. Screenshots and server logs are highly appreciated.
Evaluation: Our Lead Architect will review the ticket. If the issue qualifies under Section 2 of this policy, we will process your refund within 5 to 7 business days.

5. Post-Refund Legal Obligations

If a refund is granted, your license to use the Software is immediately revoked. You are legally required to:

Uninstall and completely delete the module from all production, staging, and local Odoo databases.
Destroy all downloaded copies of the source code.
Continued use of Niyu Labs software after a refund has been issued constitutes software piracy and copyright infringement.
