Niyu Smart Stock for Odoo: From Setup to Daily Planning

Niyu Smart Stock turns Odoo demand, stock, incoming supply, purchasing policy, and warehouse options into an explainable plan for each product and warehouse. It keeps the recommendation, planner decision, and Odoo execution document separate so teams retain control.

The operating loop

1. Prepare Odoo: confirm products, warehouses, vendors, UoMs, sales history, stock, open supply, and user access.
2. Set policy: configure company defaults, Planning Rules, Ordering Profiles, purchase schedules, and Transfer Networks.
3. Run a forecast: the service forecasts demand; Odoo applies the company policy, stock, dated supply, transfer options, and executable quantity rules.
4. Review: start in Inventory Control Tower, use Planning Overview for portfolio triage, and open Action Lines for the authoritative decision.
5. Execute: approve planner quantities, then create draft RFQs or internal transfers. Confirmed purchase orders are never silently changed.
6. Learn: review demand exceptions and mature Planning Performance evidence, then adjust policy deliberately.

Where to start each day

• Inventory Control Tower: see risk and planned actions across day, week, or month.
• Planning Overview: check forecast freshness, blockers, queue totals, execution progress, and warehouse pressure.
• Action Lines: inspect the complete product-and-warehouse calculation, explanation, timing, quantities, and linked documents.
• Demand Reviews: resolve unusual spikes or temporary low-demand periods individually or in bulk.

What the main actions mean

• Buy: external purchasing is the next step.
• Transfer: eligible stock can arrive from another warehouse in time.
• Transfer + Buy: move protected donor surplus first, then buy the remaining requirement.
• Setup Needed: a vendor, rule, route, UoM, date, or other prerequisite blocks execution.
• Watch or Covered: no immediate document is required.
• Ignored: the line is intentionally outside the active queue.

Important boundaries

• Recorded Odoo demand is never deleted. Stockout and exceptional-demand controls change the planning interpretation, not the source transaction.
• Planner Purchase Quantity, including an explicit zero, remains a deliberate decision until reset.
• A recommendation is not supply until an RFQ, PO, or transfer qualifies as included supply under the Planning Rule.
• A new order, delivery, receipt, stock correction, or policy change affects the planning snapshot after the next forecast sync.
