Assign User Roles and Validate Company Access
Assign Niyu roles on top of normal Odoo security and validate the real planner, buyer, reviewer, and warehouse access paths.
Niyu roles add product permissions to normal Odoo security. Company, warehouse, purchase, inventory, and financial access still need deliberate rollout testing with non-administrator accounts.
Assign a role
- Open Settings > Users & Companies > Users.
- Select the user and set Niyu Forecast Access.
- Save, sign in as that user, and validate the intended companies, warehouses, workspaces, documents, and financial values.
Role guidance
- No Access: no Niyu planning menu or Niyu planning records.
- Forecast User: review planning workspaces, Action Lines, Runs, demand evidence, and allowed performance facts.
- Forecast Manager: run forecasts, maintain rules and profiles, set planner quantities, use bulk actions, and create draft RFQs or internal transfers when normal Odoo rights also allow it.
- Odoo Administrator: install, upgrade, maintain Settings > Niyu Smart Stock, assign roles, and supervise scheduled actions.
Rollout checks
- Validate one-company and allowed-multi-company users separately.
- Confirm warehouse, product, picking, purchase, and currency visibility with real role combinations.
- Restrict cost and financial-impact access to the intended managers.
Do not test only as administrator
Administrator access can hide missing group or record-rule configuration. Complete acceptance with the actual planner, buyer, reviewer, and warehouse roles.
Prepare Odoo Data for Reliable Planning
Check products, demand, warehouses, vendors, UoMs, stock, incoming documents, and planning scope before relying on recommendations.
Run and Validate the First Forecast
Create the first planning snapshot, reconcile representative products, and validate controlled RFQ and transfer execution.
